These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Plotory mobile application, website, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Plotory.
Plotory helps people create and discover real-life plans ("plots"), organize groups, invite others, RSVP, coordinate in authenticated chats, view locations, receive reminders, and share photos and memories. Plotory provides coordination tools; users, not Plotory, organize and are responsible for their plots and in-person activities.
You retain ownership of content you submit, including profiles, plots, groups, announcements, comments, chat messages, and media ("User Content"). You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.
You grant Plotory a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, display, and distribute User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service according to your selected visibility settings. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup periods, content shared with others that they retain, and anonymized or legally retained records.
Public profiles, plots, groups, and related content may be visible to anyone. Private or group content is visible to the audiences indicated in the Service. Administrators may manage content and membership within plots or groups they control.
You may not use Plotory to create, upload, promote, coordinate, or distribute:
Our public Child Safety Standards form part of these Terms. When meeting people, especially people you do not already know, use good judgment: meet in an appropriate public place, tell someone you trust, arrange your own transport, do not share unnecessary sensitive information, and contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.
Plotory provides in-app tools to report content or users and to block users. We may review reports and User Content, remove or restrict content, reduce visibility, preserve evidence, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, notify relevant authorities, or take other proportionate action to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.
Enforcement decisions may consider severity, context, history, risk, and legal obligations. If you believe we acted in error, contact [email protected]. We may be unable to provide details where doing so would compromise safety, privacy, security, or an investigation.
Plotory may offer monthly auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time or consumable in-app products such as Boosts. The exact product, billing period, price, currency, benefits, and any trial or introductory terms are displayed before purchase.
Our Privacy Policy describes data collection, service providers, advertising, precise and approximate location, retention, and your choices. Optional device permissions can be changed in device settings, although related features may then be unavailable.
You may delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account or use the instructions on our Account Deletion page. Deletion disables access and deletes or anonymizes personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Historical community records, safety records, transactions, or content may be retained in anonymized or restricted form where reasonably necessary or legally required.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations, safety or security risk, legal requirements, fraud, non-payment, or discontinuation of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, retained licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.
Plotory may use or link to third-party services, including maps, app stores, sign-in providers, advertisements, weather, and external navigation apps. Their terms and privacy policies govern their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
We work to keep Plotory available and secure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, impose reasonable limits, or perform maintenance. Where practical, we will give notice of material changes that negatively affect paid functionality.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Plotory does not verify every user, plot, group, statement, location, or item of User Content and does not guarantee attendance, conduct, safety, legality, accuracy, or outcomes of user-organized activities. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plotory will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from the Service or user-organized activity. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Plotory, law, safety, or business practices. We will update the date above and provide additional notice for material changes. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should stop using and may delete your account.
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without depriving you of mandatory protections or dispute rights available under the law of your country of residence. Courts and dispute procedures will be determined under applicable law. You may also contact the competent consumer-protection or dispute-resolution body where available.
